A sub-brand built for one job

BISTEC IT Services is the IT and managed-security sub-brand of BISTEC Global — a Sydney-headquartered group that has been looking after businesses across 15 countries for 8+ years. We separated the IT services brand because mid-market firms wanted something specific: an IT partner with named accountability, not a global consultancy with a relationship-management overlay.

The parent group runs three practices — IT Services, Software Engineering, and AI + Data. This subsite is about the IT Services practice. Our Software and AI + Data colleagues are one phone call away when you need them, but they're not what we sell from here. Boring IT, done well, every day is the job.

We are dual-headquartered between Sydney and Colombo. Senior leadership. Sydney entity. Sydney phone. Engineering depth from Colombo for the technical work that scales best with concentration. That's the model. We don't dress it up.

Pratfall — anti-tier-1 framing

We don't chase the Big-4 banks. That's the point.

The IT services market has a familiar shape. Tier-1 consultancies acquire smaller cyber firms, then quietly reassign the senior people to the largest customers. Customers in the 50–2,000 staff range — banks, credit unions, pension/super funds, law firms, accounting firms, NDIS providers — find their named contact has changed, and the new one is harder to reach.

We saw that pattern years ago and chose the other side of it.

We picked the mid-market deliberately. Your named lead doesn't get reassigned to a Big-4 bank account. Your senior security analyst doesn't rotate up the food chain. Your account doesn't get parked behind a global priority list. Mid-market is the brand.
